I had to turn off anonymous comments, because I was getting SuperSpammed. I'll turn 'em back in on a day or so. I've deleted all the spam, so all that's left are the wry and wonderful comments of you, the reading public. As well as the angry and offended comments of you, the reading public. Not to mention the neutral comments of, yes, the reading public.

Spammers - Ergh!
I got hit myself a few days ago. They seem to be running a bit wild these last few days. Been seeing more comments on them than usual.

You should go into your Blogger setting and enable the new feature that requires commenters to type in a verification code for the post to go through (I have it enabled on my site if you want to see it in action).
No comment spam yet!

My Girlfriend started a new blog last week and immediately got hit by spammers (one being me ha ha!- well I thought carp fishing .com was hilarious)
I've gotten spam from a registered blogger user. That was a shocker, and the word verification has worked so far.
Alas i am another victim of these sinister comment spammers. I am very intigued by this verification. I must check it out.
my mother keeps getting hit with the spam blog comment posters. someone asked her in a comment about visiting his site if she need viagra... um? It sure depresses a blogger who is just starting out. i hadnt heard about the word verification until now, it ROCKS!
