Agnosticism is for losers.

Platform agnosticism, that is. Windows vs. Mac.

I spent the day removing spyware from a client's PC today. (This is my second job... not my main gig.) It was maddening. I had to use a combination of four different software tools to finally get everything to a state of near-normalcy. It was unbelievably tedious and frustrating.

There are variants of spyware that reinstall themselves immediately upon removal. How rude.

Now, I've often dabbled in platform agnosticism: trying to be neither Mac nor PC biased. But you know what? Microsoft Windows (up to and including XP SP2) is a badly coded, insecure, bloated piece of utter shit. When people are THROWING AWAY their computers instead of cleaning out the spyware, you know something is wrong.

But then again, I appreciate the work. Thanks, Bill! You rock!

Love to all. Even you, the dude with the Alienware Gaming PC.

I've had good luck with SpyBot and Spy Nuker getting rid of almost everything.

Windows sucks... everyone should be forced to use Linux.

"Forced to use Linux"... That's rich! So much for MS being the evil empire.

I'm seriously considering a PowerBook for my next machine. Tired of having to use multiple digital condoms everytime I want to surf the Web on Windows.

Coming to you from a dual 2.3 G5.... windoze sucks... Bill Gates is the anti-christ, and his spyware proves it all the more ;)
Steve Jobs doesn't care what I do with my computer... he already got my money.
Go Apple... help keep Microsucks in business- they have to have SOMEONE to copy.

Everyone should go Mac, no question. I don't know what people are thinking then they opt for a PC, expecially now that Macs are more affordable (at least, compared to what they once were). I was raised on them and can't imagine depending on anything else.

By the way, this is a great blog. It's refreshing to read a Catholic who is so progressively-minded. I'll become a regular reader, I'm sure.

I was raised on Macs, but converted to the PC out of necessity in the workplace. I currently run XP Pro 64-bit and would not trade it for anything. My job is technical, and frankly I see no advantage with one over the other (we have several Macs here in the office). It's why God created chocolate and vanilla, Coke and Pepsi, Camaros and Firebirds (dating myself there)...
