Sometimes, I hate people. - updated!

So, my wife is parked at the elementary school. She says hello to her friend, whom I shall call (for no reason, and with no ill feeling) "Tweak." Tweak then proceeds to drive into my wife's car with her big SUV. My wife's car was stationary. Tweak gets out of the car and says "My fault! I'm so sorry!" The police are not called.

After getting home, Maggie calls Tweak for her insurance. Tweak says "My husband says not to give you my insurance information. He says it's your fault because you were parked illegally."

Now, regardless of fault... there is absolutely NO reason not to exchange insurance information. I mean, our insurance company would find it out anyway, and all it creates is an unnecessarily combative situation.

Maggie and I get into an argument on the phone as I tell her to drop everything, go to the police station, and file an accident report. She gets mad at me for being bossy. She is probably right.

Then, Tweak calls Maggie, all apologetic and crying and saying "I don't know why I acted that way." And then the truth comes out: she had called her insurance company and they said that she was totally at fault: the moving vehicle that hits the stationary vehicle is to blame. End of story.

So now her insurance company is paying for our car to be fixed, and I'm left thinking that her husband is one of those guys who turns into a jackass under pressure. Did I mention that:
  1. Our daughters are in the same class?
  2. The husband runs a company with over a billion dollars in assets? (That's a B.)
I mean, holy shit. Even if you think you're right, play it honest. Fucker. I realize this is the point where I'm supposed to pray for people who piss me off. So I will.

Love to all. Even you, Tweak's husband.

PS: Update! Actually Maggie wasn't even IN the car. She was parked at the pickup spot for the nursery school. The car was empty when Tweak hit it.

I just randomly cruised through a dozen or so blogs and found yours. I think I have to bookmark this one for some interesting reading. With regard to this post -- SHEESH at people!

Tweak's husband deserves to get have nine inch nails driven through his balls, while all his front teeth get knocked out with an aluminum pipe.

Then he should be sent to a pound in the ass prison where he should share a cell with Tyron who weighs 320 lbs and comes from Southern Mississippi.

Glad nobody was hurt. Your wife should offer graciousness and forgiveness to the offending party. That is the definition of class.

The husband sounds like a jackass. Good to hear that no-one was injured...besides the car of course.

I have been in this exact situation before where my car was parked and an somebody I knew backed up into it.

He promised that he was going to pay and I didn't call the police.

Later on he tried to get out of the situation by saying I was parked illegaly.

Bottom line, even if the car is parked upside down in the middle of the road, it's never the parked car's fault. It's always the moving one's fault...

That's why I have strong feelings about the subject!

Can't get more "I can relate" than that, man.

Tweak and her husband are both rich spoiled jerks and no matter who they are they should stand up and take responsibility for their actions. This is the problem with society we keep letting asses like Barbie and Ken get away with everything. Bad manners need to be addressed. I gree with teh other post, Tweaks, husband needs to do some time with Bubba and do some real work.. like along a Mississippi chain gang. And Miss Tweak needs her nice soccer mom SUV taken away and given a 1972 Ford Pinto to learn some real humility. :o)~ Most important is to be grateful your family wasn't hurt.

The first thing that came to my mind was "Awwww, Hubby won't let you call the insurance company~OH Brother! LOL

God, They both sound like a couple of dick heads. IF Tweak was a good friend at all she would have called first and asked questions later.

I know how it is dude, My friend Hambone has a husband that is a royal pecker wood. And to be her friend both Alex and I have to put up with him. To a certain extent that is.

I'm glad no one was hurt. And Did a backflip when I read that her insurance company is gonna pay! :D

Great blog!
