I slept on the floor last night.
No, Maggie wasn't mad at me. I was trying to stop my back from hurting. And it worked, sort of. When I woke up at 4:20am, my back didn't hurt at all. I was freezing, but my back felt okay. In fact, I didn't feel the first twinge until 4:40. And now, at 6:07, it's hurting all the time again... a dull, annoying ache.
But it's a start.
I had the BEST time chatting with my oldest last night. He was hilarious and gorgeous and smart and interesting, and watching him radiate was pure, pure joy.
Love to all. Even you, the guy who was chainsmoking on the train platform.

Try Yoga and little pilates.
Have you ever tried salon pas - they are these sticky pads that have menthol, etc. in them and they help a lot.
I hope it starts feeling better.
Ouch! Glad you found a way to get some sleep.
Every once in a while I have a night like that. My wife looks at me like I'm nutty, but it helps.
Glad to hear about your oldest. Sometimes they are sunch little... people, huh?
If this happens again, and you have a place where you can sleep on the floor with a heat source beneath your back, like a laundry room on the floor beneatgh and a dryer going (toss in a load of laundry) or if you have radiant heat anywhere in your house, do that. I have done it and it is the most helpful.
I sleep on my side and with a bolster or pillow inbetween my legs. It takes the pressure of the spine because your upper leg isn't stretching your back muscles......
