Back problems and an aborted run.

I was going to do a 20-mile training run, but at 13.5 miles I semi-tweaked my back and have NO interest in throwing my back out before the Atlanta Marathon. About an hour after this happened, my blog-friend TC posted about her husband calling mid-way through a marathon he is running today, right now, worried that he wouldn't make it.

The thing is, the dude already MADE it, because he's trying. He just inspired me to go to Atlanta no matter what. No matter what.

Love to all. Even you, whoever was driving the fast-moving Suburban.

Every time I read one of your posts about running, I think "This year, I should do the City to Surf", it's only 14km...

Take care of your back.

I bet your 10 year old could have done 20 miles standing on his head with a tweaked back, a broken ankle and no water. I am disgusted with you for quitting.

I meant to tell you, btw, that you saved Baroy's ego with this post, and with your comments on my site. He keeps referring back to them when he starts to get depressed about how he did on Sunday...He did finish in the end, though, and I thought that was amazing.
